Periodontology

Periodontology is a field of dentistry that deals with the treatment of periodontal diseases.
Improper hygiene, vitamin deficiencies, systemic diseases, overhangs of fillings and even badly matched prosthetic restorations may be the reason for the development of periodontal disease.

It usually starts with loose gums, sometimes bleeding when brushing your teeth. When examining the dental pockets, there is also a slight bleeding. Untreated inflammation may lead to the loss of connective attachments, regression of the gums, bone loss and consequent tooth loss.

Periodontal treatment is always combined with full oral cavity hygienistation and thus removal of dental plaque / tartar to eliminate potential sources of bacterial infections. This is always the first stage of treatment.

Periodontology also offers regeneration of periodontal tissues.

Exposed tooth necks do not have to lead to the loss of teeth, and aesthetic defects caused by a disturbed gum line are not an out-of-the-way situation
